Frequently Asked Questions

 

1)   How do I register?
Obtain or download the registration brochure.  Fill it out and send it along with payment to:

Registrations may also be brought to Evaluations or to Urbancrest between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Fridays.

 

2)    Can I sign up online? 
 No, you will need to download a registration form and mail it in with payment

 

3)    Who do I make check out to?
Lebanon Christian Soccer

 

4)    What is the next step after we sign up?  
Everyone must attend one soccer evaluation at Urbancrest Baptist Church
Saturday, January 28, 2012 between 1:00-3:00pm
OR Saturday, February 4, 2012 between 4:00-6:00pm

 

5)    What is soccer evaluation night, and how long will it take?
Each soccer player will be evaluated through a series of drills in order to determine their overall ability. This is not a tryout and every child who signs up will participate with equal playing time. Players will also try on sample uniforms during this time to confirm the size indicated on the registration form. If you have pre-registered, the average time for the entire process should be approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

 

6)    What ages can participate?
5 year olds and attending kindergarten next year (or younger as approved by the Upward Soccer Director) through 4^th grade.

 

7)    Who do we contact in the event of bad weather during the season?
Check out the Lebanon Soccer Facebook page or the “Hotline” tab at the top of the website page for cancellations of games or contact your coach.

 

8)    What is the schedule for practices, games, etc.?
All Upward Soccer practices will be held on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings. Practices are one hour. Practices will begin the week of March 26^th.
All games are on Saturday mornings. Games will begin on April 14^th.
Make-up games will be played during the week and take the place of practices to avoid doubling up games on Saturday.
All games/practices will be complete by June 2^nd.

 

9)    When is the Awards ceremony?
Tuesday, June 5^th at 7:00pm.

 

10) Where will the games be played?
All games and practices will be played at Urbancrest Baptist Church.

11) What about picture day?
Scheduled picture times for each team will be released the first week of games.

 

12) When will we hear from a coach about our team, practice night and time?
Coaches should be contacting you during the week of March 12, 2012. If you have not heard from a coach by March 19, 2012, please contact Leah Busick at (513) 932-4405.

 

13) When will my child receive his/her uniform?
The first week of practices each child should receive his/her uniform.  
Please have your child try on the uniforms that week!!!  Parents please let coaches know if there are uniform issues so we can be prepared ahead of time for the number of uniforms that need exchanged.    

 

14) What if I'm interested in coaching, refereeing, or volunteering?
Please indicate on the registration form in what areas you would like to volunteer and contact Leah Busick at (513) 932-4405 or lbusick@urbancrest.org
